Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett Cover 1920s Song "I Can't Give You Anything But Love"
After covering Broadway classic "Anything Goes," Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett have revealed their latest jazzy duet, "I Can't Give You Anything But Love." There's a walking bassline, gospel organs and brassy horn blasts to back the pair's soulful crooning. And while we love listening to Gaga and Tony, we really get into the throwback vibe when the trumpet solo kicks in.
Jazz songbird Adelaide Hall was the one who originally sang "I Can't Give You Anything But Love" in 1928. The song has since become a classic, covered by everyone from Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday to Rufus Wainwright and Fantasia.
