Let There Be Love: Christina Aguilera Preaches Acceptance in New Video
Christina Aguilera's "Let There Be Love," a fan fave from Lotus, landed in the No. 1 slot on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs, which means it's lighting up dance floors big time--the chart is measured entirely by the songs played by club DJs across the country.
And now the track has a video bolstering positivity, acceptance and above all, love. Filmed in a DIY-style, the video shows Xtina and friends (Christina Milian, Nicole Richie and The Voice contestant Chris Mann) have fun on a tropical photo shoot, rehearse in a dance studio and parade around with posters of positive messages like "racism sucks" and "amo a mi hijo gay" ("I love my gay son").
The video arrived few hours after the singer posted a lengthy thank you message to fans online last night (August 28). "Thanks for giving me a home inside your hearts and within your lives," she wrote. "You're my inspiration and a constant reminder why I continue to give my very best and open up my heart and mind."
She added, "It does my heart proud to have such spirited, passionate people in my corner and for so long. I love my fans deeply. And will remind you more often."
