Our favorite pastime is daydreaming what it would be like to party with Freddie Mercury. An article in London's Sunday Times confirms that a night out on the town with the Queen frontman would be nothing short of legendary.
In an excerpt from the autobiography of U.K-based comedian Cleo Rocos, the Times reports that one random evening, Rocos and Mercury were headed out to a gay bar and Princess Diana wanted to join in on the fun. But how do you slip into a leather bar with one of the most recognizable women on the planet?
"We decided that the most famous icon of the modern world might just—just—pass for a rather eccentrically dressed gay male model," Rocos writes. So they butched Lady Di up with a camouflaged army jacket, a leather hat and aviator glasses.
Rocos adds that once they entered the club Princess Diana was simply one of the regular clubgoers: "The place was full. Our hearts pounded with every new leather-clad hairy body that approached, but no one, absolutely no one, recognised Diana. On we inched, through the leather throngs and thongs, until finally we reached the bar. We were nudging each other like naughty school-children. Diana and Freddie were giggling, but she did order a white wine and a beer. Once the transaction was completed, we looked at one another, united in our triumphant quest. We did it!"
