While many of his Jersey Shore compatriots have parlayed reality TV success into more of the same (i.e., Snooki and JWoww), Pauly D has used his notoriety to become one of the top-paid DJs on the planet. And three months into his yearlong residency at Las Vegas' HAZE Nightclub at ARIA, the spray-tanned musclehead has proved he's earned the right to call himself DJ Pauly D (despite what deadmau5 might say).
He doesn't shy away from flaunting his Jersey Shore past—the dude opened Saturday night's set night with his signature "Oh yeahhh!" rallying cry and brought out former castmate Vinny Guadagnino halfway through the show. But Pauly D manned his turntables with aplomb and kept the party pumping for hours while a massive line outside the club grew throughout the night.
Spinning everything from Kendrick Lamar to Avicii to Britney to Bieber, Pauly D played to a club so packed that bumping and grinding wasn't a choice—it was inevitable.
Faithful partiers who managed to gain entrance to HAZE were rewarded with a lengthy set that didn't let up, a throbbing soundsystem that rattled your core and a snowstorm of confetti. Not to mention the plethora of blowup dolls tossed into the crowd by go-go dancers in booty shorts who eerily resembled walking blowup dolls themselves. But hey, it is Vegas—even the swimming pools have go-go dancers on deck, so they couldn't not be at Pauly D's party.
