FUSE TV - Lady Gaga Tweets Naked Pic of Herself, Launches 'Body Revolution'

Lady Gaga sharing a naked picture of herself on the Internet is nothing new. She's done it before. But ever since she revealed she's gained 25 pounds and admitted she doesn't feel bad about it, she's seriously putting her money where her mouth is.

Last night Gaga shared this photo of herself naked on the toilet on her social networking site, littlemonsters.com. The usual "rage against the machine" theme that most of her shocking uploads have seems to be missing here. Is it just us, or is Gaga trying to start a different conversation?

Gaga follwed up with another controversial photo this morning: a portrait of herself in only her underwear along with the caption, "Body Revolution 2013." The link underneath the photo brings you to a gallery on littlemonsters.com with a cryptic message written above the photo: "Bulemia and anorexia since I was 15." Though she's always been open about her body image issues in the past, it's still quite the change of heart from a recent tweet which had Gaga nearly bragging that she was probably starving at the moment: "Just killed back to back spin classes. Eating a salad dreaming of a cheeseburger #PopSingersDontEat #IWasBornThisWay."

We're supposed to be unbiased, but we can't help but think this can only be helpful for Gaga's fans. Maybe they shouldn't emulate her completely, as a naked toilet photo would definitely warrant a call home from the principal. But with over 29 million Twitter followers, every little thing Lady Gaga does holds a lot of clout. Promoting a healthy body image is a step in the right direction.

Oh, and in semi-related news, Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro called Gaga a slut during a press conference unveiling a new youth anti-drug initiative. He said Gaga, who smoked weed onstage during a recent concert in Amsterdam, is promoting drugs to her young and impressionable fans. "There's the influence right there," he told local reporters, pointing to pics of Gaga lighting up onstage. "There's Gaga... I would call her a slut. This slut is influencing many, many people. She's a slut... in the pure meaning of the word." 

Okay then. Stay classy, Staten Island.
