Fuse is stoked to exclusively reveal Green Day as one of the headliners of Voodoo Music Experience 2012. The punk trio will tear up the New Orleans music festival this October along with a slew of other acts, which Voodoo will be announcing shortly.
Green Day's gig at Voodoo Fest is their only scheduled North American tour date this year. By the time Billie Joe, Tre and Mike hit New Orleans, the band will have released ¡Uno!, the first album in their upcoming trilogy. So if you want to see Green Day rocking fresh off their new album, Voodoo 2012 has your back.
Voodoo Fest has been bringing an eclectic host of major artists to New Orleans' City Park since 1999, snagging the likes of Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ozzy Osbourne, Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M., Duran Duran and Deadmau5. Green Day played the fest back in 2004 and according to YouTube evidence, they totally slayed.
